Product Care & Display Guide

LKH strives to make items that are good quality and will look their best for as long as possible. Below you'll find care and display tips for each product type, based on the materials we actually use.

Stickers

Our stickers are printed on vinyl with a permanent adhesive. Finish options include gloss laminate, matte/zero-glare laminate, and glossy glitter holographic laminate.

  • Water-resistant vinyl stickers (gloss & matte): Great for indoor surfaces. They are water-resistant but not UV-resistant. If applying to a tumbler, mug, or cup, hand-wash only—do not put in the dishwasher.
  • Dishwasher-safe stickers: Waterproof and scratch-resistant. These can safely go through the dishwasher.
  • Bumper stickers: Waterproof, scratch-resistant, and UV-proof. Built for outdoor use.
  • Holiday label stickers: Use a thin-tip permanent marker (such as a Sharpie) to write on them and prevent smudging.

Not sure which type you have? Check your product listing or order confirmation for the finish name.

Pinback Buttons

Our pinback buttons feature artwork printed on high-quality paper, protected by a clear Mylar sheet and set in a metal button shell. Available in round 1.25", 2.25", and 2.75"×1.75" oval sizes; select styles come in holographic finishes.

  • Pin to jackets, backpacks, totes, canvas bags, or any permeable fabric.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture as the metal back can rust if left wet.
  • Keep away from magnets if storing with other pins to prevent scratching.
  • To clean, gently wipe the front with a soft, dry cloth.

Magnets

We carry two types of magnets, please check your product listing to confirm which you have.

Steel magnets (US-made recycled steel, ~0.06" thick, with a clear glossy or glittery finish):

  • Water-resistant but not waterproof. Keep away from prolonged moisture.
  • Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Designed to hold papers and lightweight items on standard magnetic surfaces.

Ribbon / fabric magnets (patterned cotton fabric screenprinted with water-based inks, 3"×2", 1.5 mm thick magnetic backing):

  • Decorative use only. Not strong enough to hold thick or heavy materials.
  • Spot-clean gently; the fabric is delicate.
  • Made with some upcycled materials.

Greeting Cards

Cards are printed on high-quality matte or satin  cardstock (60–110 lb white cardstock) and shipped flat in rigid mailers to prevent bending.

  • Store unused cards flat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent warping or fading.
  • Each card ships with a matching envelope.
  • Handle with clean, dry hands to keep the matte surface free of fingerprints and oils.

Art Prints & Posters

Prints are available in two substrates. Check your product listing to see which applies to your print.

Giclée prints (semi-glossy or matte art paper, USA & Japan origin): formulated for vibrant, fade-resistant colors.

Satin finish prints (80 lb white text paper): a smooth, slightly sheen surface.

  • If dust collects on your print, gently wipe it off with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Frame behind UV-protective glass to minimize fading from sunlight or artificial light over time.
  • Handle prints by the edges to avoid fingerprints on the surface.
  • Store unframed prints flat or rolled in an acid-free tube in a cool, dry location.
